I am an employment Managing Associate in our Hong Kong office and have been practicing in Hong Kong since 2011.

I am a Hong Kong and Australian (NSW) qualified lawyer and speak English, Cantonese and Mandarin. I studied commerce and international relations at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia and pursued a Juris Doctor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In addition to working in Hong Kong, I have also worked in Tokyo, Japan. I also hold a Certified Information Privacy Professional / Asia (CIPP/A) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

My clients come from a broad range of industries including financial services, technology and communications, media and entertainment, and retail and hospitality. My work often involves an international element and I support clients on the full spectrum of the employment lifecycle including recruitment processes, negotiating employment contracts, immigration matters, workplace policies, employee relations, data privacy, team moves and exits, and post-termination restrictive covenants. I also have extensive experience in leading international employment law projects, partnering closely with our Ius Laboris colleagues, to provide strategic advice to my clients on complex cross border issues.

My diverse and international background allows me to provide clients with strategic solutions that fit cultural norms. Having recently been seconded to one of the largest US based tech firms working as their Asia Pacific employment counsel, I am also uniquely positioned to understand the needs of my clients from their lens.

In addition to conducting client seminars and speaking at conferences, I have contributed articles to numerous publications including the Official Journal of the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resource Management, Hong Kong Lawyer, China Law and Practice, and the Hong Kong chapter of Women, Business and the Law published by the World Bank.

I have been a Distinguished Professional Mentor to undergraduate law students at the Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2014 and I have also been a guest speaker to law students of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Peking University – School of Transnational Law.
